Susan Merson Wins Susan Merson, a senior at South- field High School, received the school's Good Citizenship Award from the Daughters of the Ameri- can Revolution Monday at a lunch- eon in honor of her and five other senior girls from Oakland County. Susan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M e r so n, 22589 Bellbrook, Southfield. is a member of the senior class board and National Honor Society, president of the Thespians and the lead in the school's presentation of "S out h Pacific." Weisberg said that the Israel Tour for Teen-agers is an oppor- tunity for young American boys and girls "for real involvement in the life of Israel today." Included in the travel and study program will be lectures by top Israeli government officials a n d academic leaders. A special study program will take place in Jeru- salem. Biblical landmarks and holy places of many faiths will be visited by the young people. Field trips to archaeological sites and a work period on a kibutz also are planned in the Israel Tour for Teen-agers program. Last summer, students who par- : ticipated in the tour included from Michigan: Beth Fischhoff, Sharon Milinsky and Deborah Pollack of Detroit; Barbara and Gary Goren and Lynn Coville of Southfield; Carol Faudman and Elyse Marcus of Birmingham; and Kim Levin- sohn of Saginaw.
