Cong. Beth Shalom was the scene
of the recent wedding of Susan
Risa Taisch and Irving Bernard
Sacks. Rabbi Irwin Groner offi-
ciated. Parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Taisch of
Wildwood Ave.. Oak Park, and Mr.
and Mrs. Sidney Sacks of Santa
Rosa Ave.
Following a northern honeymoon,
the couple will live in Chicago.
The bride wore an Empire gown
of silk organza over peau de soie.
The floor-length skirt and chapel
train were appliqued in borders
of Duchess lace. Her mantilla was
bordered in matching lace.
Judith Taisch was her sister's
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Maxine Sacks, Nina Mallin, Gaye
Smith, Sophie Salamon and Ann
Taylor of Bakersfield, Calif.

Currently engaged in reseach
work dealing with the National
Aeronautics and Space Administra-
tion's planetary quarantine pro-
gram, Dr. Greene was chosen in
1963 as a member of the National
Academy of Sciences delegation to
the International Space Science
Symposium in Warsaw. In recog-
nition of his outstanding achieve-
ments, he was recently elected to
fellowship in the American Public
Health Association. He is an active
board member of the College and
University Council of the Lubavitch
Youth Oraganization.
Mrs. Morris Schaver will present
awards to the chairmen of the
various study groups and will des-
cribe what she saw in Israel at
Kfar Habad.
Entertainment will be provided
by Eli Lipsker, Hasidic folk singer
from Brooklyn. Mrs. David J. Co-
hen, chairman of the evening, and
the affair also will feature a petite
supper. Both men and women are
