Pre-Campaign Dinner to Draw 500 Leaders: General to Speak

The pre-campaign dinner of the
1968 Allied Jewish Campaign-

Personnel Listed

Leonard Bonin and Robert A.
Steinberg are co-chairmen of the
services division of the Allied Jew-
ish Campaign-Israel Emergency
Fund.
Bonin was chairman of the serv-
ices division in the 1967 campaign.
Steinberg participated in the serv-
ices division as co-chairman in
1967, associate chairman in 1965
and 1966, and vice-chairman in
1963-64. He is a board member of
Jewish Vocational Service and De-
troit Service Group.
Associate chairmen of the serv-
ices division are Irving H. Stein-
berg and Louis I. Zuckerman.
Paul Broder and Harold S. Nor-
man are advisors.
Executive committee members
are Henry Auslander, Sidney J.
Bertin, Louis C. Blumberg, Paul
Broder, Samuel J. Greenberg,
Isaac Litwak, Harald S. Norman,
Arnold Rosman, Mel Shulevitz and
Myron D. Stein.
Serving as pre-campaign chair-
men are Sidney J. Bertin and
Louis C. Blumberg.
The following section chairmen
will lead workers in this division:

Israel Emergency Fund to be held
6 p.m. Wednesday at the Statler-
Hilton will be a major factor in
the success of this year"s com-
bined drive, according to Alfred
L. Deutsch, chairman, and Maxwell
Jospey, co-chairman.
The black-tie dinner will bring
together the greatest number of
campaign and communal leaders
in this year's drive, the chairman
stated. Approximately 500 will
attend.
Brig. Gen. Aharon Yariv, chief
of intelligence for the Israel army
and a hero of the Six-Day War,
will be guest of honor. Gen. Yariv
will bring news from Israel, since

only shortly before the Detroit
meeting.
Under Gen. Yariv's direction, the
information gained about positions,
armaments and movements made
possibl ethe swift destruction of
enemy forces in the June war.
The dinner, which is for contri-
butors of $1,000 and more, is un-
der the direction of Meyer M.
Fishman, Samuel Frankel, Max M.
Shaye and Richard Sloan, who are
pre-campaign chairmen, and vice-
chairmen Lewis S. Grossman, Bar
ney L. Keywell, Milton J. Miller,
David S. Mondry and Harold S.
Norman.

A cocktail party prior to the
dinner will be hosted by Abraham
Borman, Tom Borman, Alfred L.
Deutsch, Sol Eisenberg, Max M.
Fisher, Meyer M. Fishman, Samuel
Frankel, Irwin Green, Louis Ham-
burger, Samuel Hamburger, Arthur
Howard, Maxwell Jospey, Edward
