For many years, Mrs. Golden
did monthly illustrations and
cover designs for the magazine,
"Young Israel," as well as illus-
trations for "Opinion" and poli-
tical cartoons for "Jewish Fron-
tier."
Mrs. Golden has traveled to
many countries, including Israel,
and was traveling ,lecturer on "The
Development of Jewish Art" for
the National Council of Jewish Wo-
men. She has exhibited paintings
of Jewish life in many centers
throughout the U.S.
A native of New York and high-
est medal winner as a graduate of
Cooper Union, Mrs. Golden atten-
ed the Art Students League, New
York University and Hunter Col-
lege. She had her first one-woman
show at age 20 in New York, and
since that time her prints have
been accepted by all national print
competitions. She won the print
prize at the Michigan State Fair
and has had her work shown at the
Detroit Institute of Arts.
Mrs. Golden's serigraphy, silk
screen printing, is a highly com-
plex form, and she has achieved.
textural effects that are considered
unique in the field.
The artist will be present at the
Arwin Galeries opening reception
5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday. The exhibit
runs through Jan. 30.
Oils by Helen Cartmell also will
be on display at that time.

Lord for mankind's blindness in
not recognizing the beauty of His
chosen people, the Jews, and for
persecuting them over the cen-
turies.

At the dinner for members of the Israel Bond Honor Societies of
trustees, founders, builders and sponsors of Israel held at the Sheraton
Cadillac Hotel, Sunday are (from left) Mrs. Louis M. Elliman, Mrs.
Louis Berry, Dr. Jacob E. Goldman, director of the Ford Motor Com-
pany scientific laboratory, who was the guest speaker; Mrs. Max
Stollman, Mrs. David Pollack and Mrs. Sidney Schwartz. The women
along with Mrs. Morris L. Schaver, chairman of the Detroit Israel
Bond Women's Division, who was in Israel, hosted this invitational
affair, which was the inaugural event of the Women's Division
Israel 20th Anniversary year Bond campaign, the Affair resulted in
$125,000 in Israel Bond subscriptions. Sam Levene, Broadway and
Hollywood actor, a guest at the dinner, delivered an inspiring ad-
dress on Israel. Dr. Goldman described his recent visit in Vietnam,
Nepal and Israel. Mrs. Pollack, sponsor and executive committee
chairman, chaired the affair.
