Move Near Fund-Raising Goal

Arthur C. Schott and Mrs. Al
Stein, presidents of the metropoli-
tan Detroit Bnai Brith Men's and
Women's Councils, together with
their respective fund-raising chair-
men George Tarnoff and Mrs. Ira
Albion. announce excellent prog-
ress toward the largest fund-raising
goal ever set by Detroit Bnai
Brith.
This year more funds will go to
the Bnai Brith youth program,
which includes the BBYO. MIlel
Foundations and the Vocational
Service Program.

Bnai Brith Members Urged
to Show Commitment to
Overcome 'Dual Society'

On the joint fund-raising cabi-
net are Women's Council repre-
sentatives Mesdames Albion,
Charles Galinsky, Gordon Fruit-
man, David Levine, Henry P.
Onrich, Stein and Phillip Edel-
heit; and Men's Council repre-
sentatives Schott, Tarnoff, Julius
Kahn, Lou Segel, Bernard Pan-
ush, Sol Moss and Herman Kas-

Tarnoff has announced that the

The 1967-68 campaign for funds
will culminate Feb. 13-15, with an
All Star Revue at the Masonic

ture Betty Walker of the Mike
Douglas and Mery Griffin Show.
Members of Bnai Brith who buy
or sell fund-raising books will re-
ceive two reserved seats for the
revue.

Jan. 6-8 at the Edgewater Beach

NEW YORK (JTA) — Dore
Schary, playwright and producer,
has announced that he will pro-
duce on Broadway next season a
drama on Soviet anti-Semitism by
Elie Wiesel, the noted Jewish au-
thor. The world premiere of the
Wiesel drama, "The Madness of
God," will be staged at Habima
Theater, Tel Aviv, in Hebrew,
opening Oct. 8, to mark Habima's
50th anniversary.

lar, cuffs and scalloped hem, was
married Sunday evening to Terry
Mark Silver of Flushing, N.Y.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Serwin of Briar
Dr., Oak Park, and her fiance is
the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph
Silver of Flushing. They were mar-
ried by Rabbi Israel Goodman in
the Versailles Room of the Hotel
Pontchartrain.
Diane Markle was maid of
honor to the bride, who carried
an orchid and Stephanotis on
her confirmation Bible. She also
was attended by Mrs. Bruce Ser-
win of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Richard
Serwin of Montgomery, Ala., Ro-
salind Surowitz of Pontiac and
Suzanne Serwin.
Charles Kaufman of Milwaukee
was best man, and ushers were
Bruce Serwin and Dr. Richard Ser-
win, brothers of the bride, Richard
Well of Fairlawn, N.J., David
Weinstein of W. Orange, N.J.,
Lawrence Kantor of New York
City and William Moskowitz, of Mt.
Vernon, N.Y.

York's Catskill Mountains, the
couple will reside in Brooklyn.
