BETWEEN 400 and 500 folks at
tended the recent installation
dance by Perfection Lodge at Ma-
sonic Temple ... Those able to see
the installation were thrilled at the
fantastic memory work of install-
ing officer, Dr. Jack Jackman,
whose greatest mbment came when
he introduced his son. Murray, ap-
pointed a steward in his first Ma-
sonic job before ascending the
chairs.

means it will be an off-color show."
• • •
WHEN JEFFREY ROSENBERG,
son of Al and Sarah Rosenberg,
discovered he was to the only boy
being bar mitzva'd, he almost
"chickened out" ... However, Jeff
did such a good job that Cantor
Nicholas Fenekel invited him to
join the Cong. Adas Shalom choir

tion be held but at Al's new Carle-
ton House on Wyoming.

ABOUT FIVE YEARS ago, a

founded the Criterion Club, a civic,
social, cultural and non-profit or-

Now grown and flourishing, the or-
ganization has already achieved a—,
deserved reputation for the variety r
of its public programs ... The Cri-
terion Club holds its annual Hanu-
ka Ball this Sunday evening, at
Workmen's Circle, with radio and
TV singer, Jimmy Angel, emcee-
ing an intermission floorshow . . .

. .. Music of Hal Gordon and sing-
ing of Sammy Woolf will supply
the festival-like atmosphere . . .
According to plans, other than the

why he hadn't been more active in
the civil rights movement, he re-
plied, "Some people do it by shout-

WITH ALL THE strike bits on
now and very few actually knowing
why they're striking, this is an ap-
propos ditty .. . about the picket
walking up and down a busy street
carrying a blank sign . . . A friend
asked, "What's the idea?" . . . The
picket replied, "I'm looking for a
sponsor."
