to Attend Seminar 11

A Bnai David delegation of 21
teen-agers will attend the Canadian
Tora Leadership Seminar, spon-
sored by the youth bureau of Ye-
shiva University's community serv-
ice division, at the Carousel Motel,
London, Ont., Dec. 22-27,
Rabbi Norman Tokayer, associ-
ate director of the youth bureau,
said the program would consist of
Jewish studies, leadership skills,
group dynamics and recreatiopal
activities. Joel Paul, a graduate
student at Yeshiva University's
Ferkauf Graduate School of Hu-
manities and Social Sciences, is
serving as head adviser.
The educational staff at the sem-

Lubavitch Delegation

to Join Hasidic Festival

The post-graduate "rabbi's class"
of the Mishkan Israel Religious
School will travel to New York to
participate in the festivitiee of the
"Yud-Tess Kislev" Hasidic festival.
The festival, attended by tens of
thousands of Jews in communities
throughout the world, will mark
the 169th anniversary of the libera-
tion of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of
Liadi, founder of the Hasidic move-
ment, from Czarist prison, where
he was confined for 53 days in
1798.
Heading the delegation from De-
troit will be Rabbis B. Shemtov, di-
rector of the Chabad-Lubavitch;
S. Lazaroff of Camp Gan Israel;
Jacob Kranz of Cong. Mishkan Is-
rael; and Isaac M. Kagan, public
relations officer of the Detroit
Habad.
