THE JEWISH NEWS THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS' 30—Friday, December 15, 1967 Toras From Romania Go to Synagogues in Israel JERSALEM (JTA)—The minis- try of religious affairs announced it had completed distribution of 130 Scrolls of the Law received here during the past year from Romania. The scrolls had belonged to Romanian syagogues which no longer exist. After being checked for errors and given necessary repairs, the scrolls were distributed to syna- gogues throughout Israel, including those set up in the Nahal strong points in the occupied areas. Two scrolls were sent to Paraguay to replace those lost in a synagogue fire.
