Jordan Presses Boycott
Against Yule Pilgrimages

JERUSALEM (ZINS) — A cam-
paign is being organized by the
Jordanian authorities to persuade
Christian communities to boycott
Christmas services in Bethlehem
this year, according to reports re-
ceived from Amman.
The efforts are aimed to dis-
courage Jordanian citizens from
crossing into the West Bank for
the holiday, although the Israel
government has announced its
readiness to set aside Allenby
Bridge for Arab Christian pilgrims.
There are indications, however,
that hundreds of Christian Arabs

paign and are planning to make
the pilgrimage.

original records and other source
material which will ultimately pro-
vided a basis for any history of
Judaism as it has developed in the
New World.
