Closer ties are being developed with the American Trade Union movement. Jewish and non-Jewish professionals and academicians are being drawn into the activities of Histadrut by means of seminars, forums, and the American Cultural Exchange Institute, headed by Dr. Judd Teller. College youth are par- ticipating in increasing numbers in Histadrut sponsored summer programs in Israel. Stolarsky will review the pro- gram of the national convention of Histadrut which took place in New York Nov. 24-26. Although Rafael was appointed last September, he remained here to participate in the Security Coun- cil debate on the Middle East crisis. He will be succeeded by Joseph Tekoah, former Israeli ambassador to the Soviet Union and Brazil. He is expected in New York early in January. Michael S. The camp is open to students age 10-19, according to Yehuda Brumberg, previous leader of a branch in New York, who has come to Detroit to help in the expansion of this branch. The leaders range in age from 18 to 23. offering a close counselor-camper relation- ship. Two counselors have been to a leadership training seminar in Israel for six months, and most have been to Israel.
