DETROITERS AND out-of-town-
are learning fast about that
very interesting little section of
town on Hamilton, between Six-
Mile Rd. and Puritan known as
"Antique Row" ... It is celebrat-
ing its annual Holiday Hike, so
named because visitors don't have
to drive way out in the far coun-
try looking for things of interest
—it's now all within walking dis-
tance of each other on one strip
. .. 14 antique dealers and other
most unique shops make up what
is becoming quite a showplace of
Detroit .. - At Flo Scheff Antiques
there's an 1812 hand-carved Chi-
nese camphor chest and a roll-a-
way type bed at least 125 yeara
those who love anti-
old .. .
are in for a special
que jew
treat—th s Flo's specialty!

FEW GROWNUPS CAN match
the quick tongue and wit of Marla
Beth Schram, 3%-year-old daugh-
ter of Sandy and Calvin Schram
. . Some of the things that come
out of her little mouth are beyond
belief from such a wee tot . . . If
some folks didn't know better,
they'd think she was a midget!

FROM BASIC TRAINING in Ft.
Polk, La., S/Sgt. Gary Levy writes
in his first letter home to parents,
Hank and Julia Levy, "It's sure a
new experience having wall-to-wall
brothers!"
WHILE VISITING in Florida at
home of ex-Detroiters Roy and
Sarah Bluestine, Lillian Rose strol-
led through their neighborhood one
afternoon ...She noticed a woman
polishing a freshly washed car ...
Bits of grass from the newly clip-
ped lawn clung to her clothes and
to the big power mower nearby
. Meanwhile, her husband, with
a can of beer balanced on his
stomach, reclined lazily on a ham-
mock, watching a portable TV ...
Lillian thought his behavior a bit
contemptible until she noticed a
sign propped against a tree .
"It's my birthday."

COLLECTOR OF psychiatrist
jokes, Dr. Herbert Raskin, is given
this one . .. about a woman pay-
ing her psychiatrist $2,000, then
telling friends she wasn't going to
make any more appointments with
him . . . She explained with a
sigh, "I'm afraid that if I pay him
any more money, it'll give him a
sense of guilt."

Grand Tour of the Alps
Coming to Area Theaters

"The Grand Tour of Switzerland
and the Alps' is coming to the
Detroit area for a limited engage-
ment starting Monday. Andre de
la Varre's newest theatrical trave-
logue will be shown one day each
at the following theaters: Monday, z
at the Terrace; Tuesday. Norwest;
Wednesday, Vogue, and Thursday,
Royal Oak. Matinee showings will
be at 1 p.m.; evenings at 8:15.
This feature length wide-screen
color picture will be narrated in
person by Frederick C. Bellinger
of the Burton Holmes Theatrical
Travelogue staff.
In addition to spectacular views
of alpine scenery and some of the
great mountain passes of Europe,
the film explores highlights of
Switzerland's proudest industries
and entertainment in her most
picturesue cities.
