Mollie Bellick, a charter mem-
ber of the Ruzhiner Farein, died
Nov. 8 in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Bellick, who operated a
Detroit grocery store first on Hast-
ings and Erskine and then on 12th
and Pingree until 1952, is sur-
vived by a son, Symie; two daugh-
ters, Rosaline Malow and Sadie
Barnett of Albuquerque; a brother,
Irving Rosenberg of Detroit; and
two sisters, Mrs. Manuel M. Nei-
man of Detroit and Goldie Hoff-
man. Interment Los Angeles.

Jack Lefton; Retired
Furniture Store Owner

Jack Lefton, retired co-owner of
Beverly Furniture, located form-
erly in Detroit and now in Ypsi-
lanti, died on a visit here Wednes-
day at age 73.
Mr. Lefton, who resided in Holly-
wood, Fla., retired 13 years ago.
He was a member of the Holly-
wood Chamber of Commerce,
Temple Beth Sholom and its choir,
Bnai Brith, the Florida Farm Bu-
reau and Rovner Progressive Fa-
rein of Detroit.
He leaves his wife, Freda; a son,
Mickey Hero of Detroit; two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Sam (Natalie) Pearlman
and Mrs. William (Tavy) Stone,
both of Detroit; a brother, George
of Canoga Park, Calif.; two sisters,
Mrs. Abraham (Gertrude) Miller
of White Plains, N.Y., and Mrs.
Jack (Margaret) Wachter of De-
troit; eight grandchildren and one
great-grandson.
Interment Detroit.

Morris I. Subar,
Young Israel Pioneer

Morris I. Subar, long-time resi-
dent of Detroit, died in Jerusalem
Sept. 21. He and his wife had taken
up residence in Jerusalem in Aug-
ust 1966.
Mr. Subar was one of the found-
ers of Young Israel of Detroit, a
life member of Mizrachi and a con-
tributor to many charitable causes.
He leaves his wife, Betty; a daugh-
ter, Sorel S. Kaufman of Los An-
geles; a brother, Abraham of Jeru-
salem; and a sister, Belle Bern-
stein of New York.

Don Barry, Businessman
in Thumb Community

Don Barry, Detroit resident who
was active in the community of
Croswell, Mich., where he owned
a scrap iron business, died Nov.
10 at age 55.
Mr. Barry, 18425 Burt, partici-
pated in Croswell community life
and was known for his efforts to
better the life of itinerant workers
who settled in the Thumb com-
munity.

Harmon Rosenthal, consultant
with the firm of Rosenthal Broth-
ers Real Estate and Investments,
1768 First National Building, died
last Saturday at age 70.
A native of Au Sable, Mr. Rosen-
thal, 17336 Kentucky, was a De-
troit resident for 56 years and
was with the firm since 1924. He
was a life member of Perfection
Lodge, F&AM.
Survivors are his four brothers,
Isidore, Samuel, Leonard of Tuc-
son and Jerome; and two sisters,
Mrs. Jack (Nance) Vein of Los
Angeles and Mrs. Leo (Mildred)
Krueger of Tucson.

Dr. Lawrence Atler

Dr. Lawience R. Atler, physician
and surgeon in Detroit for 40
years, died Tuesday at age 68.
Dr. Atler, 681 W. Forest, had
offices in his home. A graduate of
Central High School and Detroit
College of Medicine (1926), he was
a member of the Intercollegiate
Club of Detroit and Phi Delta Ep-
silon medical fraternity.
Survivors are four brothers,
Samuel of Los Angeles, Isadore E.,
Dr. LeRoy and Dr. Norvell N.; and
two sisters, Edith W. and Mrs.
Claire A. Ross.
