Owned Hardware Store

Edward I. Feuer, a retail mer-
chant in the Detroit area for 25
years, died Oct. 20 at age 57.
Mr. Feuer, 23501 Kenosha, Oak
Park, was born in New York and
was a 50-year resident of Detroit.
He was the owner of Gray & Son
Co., 6747 W. Warren, since 1952,
and was in the hardware business
for 25 years.
He was a member of Cong. Beth
Aaron; the Louis Marshall and
Zager Stone Lodges of Bnai Brith;
the Merchants Hardware Retailers
Association; and a stockholder in
the Cotter Company, an associa-
tion of independent hardware
store owners.
He leaves his wife, Yetta; two
sons, Dr. Marshall and Sanford;
a brother, Harold, and two grand-
children.

Louis Schwartz, 61,
Local Insurance Man

Louis Schwartz, a Detroit insur-
ance man, died Oct. 21 at age 61.
Mr. Schwartz, 20789 Camden
Sq., Southfield, was born in New
York City. He worked for the
Western Underwriters Insurance
Co. on McNichols Ave. for 10 years.
He was a member of Shaarey Ze-
dek, Union Lodge F&AM and the
Moslem Temple Detroit Consistory.
He leaves his wife, Anne; two
sons, Maxwell and Robert; two
brothers, Maurice H. of Bay Har-
bor, Fla., and Joseph of Beverly
Hills, Calif.; and three grandchil-
dren.

Rome Attorney Dead

ROME (JTA) — Ruggero di Seg-
ni, a prominent Italian lawyer and
leader of the Jewish community,
died here at age 59. Di Segni was
vice president of the Union of Jew-
ish Communities in Italy and a
member of the executive board of
the World Jewish Congress. He
was also associated with the Jew-
ish orphanage here and with the
Vittorio Polacco Jewish School.
