A graduation tea was held Mon-
day at the home of Mrs. Norman
11. Rosenfeld on Hamilton Rd.,
for women who completed the
Leadership Training Seminar of
the Women's Division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation.
Mrs. I. Jerome Hauser, presi-
dent of the division, presented the
awards.
The six-week course, which is
held annually, is designed to give
women of the Jewish community
an in-depth look at the pattern of
community services which are sup-
ported through the Allied Jewish
Campaign. Tours of the Jewish
Family and Children's Service,
Jewish Community Center, Camp
Tamarack, United Hebrew Schools
and Sinai Hospital were among
those taken by the women. Mrs.
Rosenfeld was chairman of the
1967 Seminar.
Receiving diplomas were:
Detroit: Mesdames Ben S. Chin-
itz. Eugene Driker, Ruth Lewinson,
John Shepherd, Robert Siegel, Da-
vid Steinman, Albert Tanner, Jane
Zaks.

sher Poultry, Inc.. of Mifflintown,
Pa.
The new pack provides a 24-
piece assortment to satisfy all
tastes: four each of liver knishes,
franks-in-blankets, potato knishes,
kashe pockets, anchovy twists, beef
and mushroom turnovers. A fea-
ture of these kosher varieties is
the French puff-pastry, a delicate
and flaky dough that puffs up
when heated. Preparation after
thawing is quick and easy, requir-
ing only 10 to 15 minutes in a pre-
heated moderate oven.
Empire's hors d'oeuvres are cer-
tified by the Union of Orthodox
Jewish Congregations of America
(U). Plant and product are also
inspected by the United States De-
partment of Agriculture.

The MOTOR CITY STAMP AND
COVER CLUB is holding its sixth
annual exhibition and bourse Nov.
4-5 at the Knights of Columbus
Hall on Lesure Ave. near Grand
River. The exhibit will feature 100
frames of selected philatelic ma-
terial, and the bourse will contain
20 of the area's leading stamp
dealers. Admission is free.

to Show 'Border Street'

Young Hagana of Israel, a newly
formed group of Detroiters from
Israel, will sponsor the showing of
a film, "Border Street," 8 p.m.
Saturday at Cong. Beth Joseph.
Proceeds will be sent to orphan
children in Israel, according to
President Ruben Sherman. Al-
though the group consists of mem-
bers age 17 to 25, the public is
invited to see the film, depicting
the story of the Warsaw ghetto.
