Samuel Robinson, 77;
Owned Center Line Store

Samuel Robinson, owner of Rob-
inson's Department Store, Center
Line, until his retirement several
years ago, died last Saturday at
age 77.
Mr. Robinson, 18310 Northlawn,
was active in city and Republican
politics. He served as a Center
Line justice of the peace and had
been a Republican national com-
mitteeman. Born in Russia, he
was a member of Acacia Lodge,
F&AM.
Survivors are his wife, Mollie;
two sons, Charles and Irving; two
daughters, Mrs, Pearl Aaron and
Mrs. Sidney (Marilyn) Rosenthal;
and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Isaac Bennish, Dentist
in Detroit for 36 Years

Dr. Isaac Bennish, former De-
troit dentist for 36 years, died
Sept. 10 in Los Angeles.
Survivors are his wife, Lillian; a
son, Dr. E. Leo Bennish of Detroit;
and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma First.
Interment Los Angeles.

MAX ABRAMOVITZ, former De-
troiter of Los Angeles, died Oct.
15. Survived by his wife, Toba;
three sons, Harry, George and
Isaac; two daughters, Mrs. Jack
(Betty) Segal and Mrs. Dave
(Mary) Hoffman; 13 grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren. Inter-
ment Los Angeles.

Steven Goodman,
Attorney, Killed in
Plane Accident

Steven E. Goodman, Detroit at-
torney, was killed in the crash of
his private plane over City Airport,
Oct. 13. He was 38.
Mr. Goodman, 17291 Jeanette,
Southfield. had law offices in the
Buhl Building. He was a native of
Detroit and a graduate of Michigan
State University and the Univer-
sity (4 Michigan's law school in
1956. A first lieutenant during the
Korean War, Mr. Goodman served
in the Army for three years. He
was a member of both the Wayne
County and Michigan State bar as-
sociations.
Mr. Goodman, an experienced
pilot, was returning from a busi-
ness trip to Kalamazoo when his
disabled plane hit a tree and nose-
dived into Gilbo St. on Detroit's
east side. After hitting the side-
walk. the plane flipped over and
leaned against the house, bursting
into flames a minute later. Rescue
attempts failed.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara;
two daughters, Carol and Madeline;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Goodman; and two sisters, Mrs. Al-
bert (Lenore) Miller and Mrs.
Leonard (Violet) Soltar.

David T. Nederlan der, Developer of
Ligitimate Theater in Detroit, Dead

two great-grandchildren.

Alfred Rosenberg, 53

From 1914 until its destruction in
1931, the Opera House featured

Fields.
Mr. Nederlander returned to
the theater in 1940 with his pur-
chase of the Orpheum Theater

died Sunday at age 53.
Mr. Rosenberg, 7716 E. Jeffer-
son, was a native of Detroit. His
store, Rosenberg's Men's Wear,
was at 5444 Michigan. He was a
member of Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Survivors are a brother, Lee of
N. Hollywood, Calif.; and three
sisters, Mrs. Gabriel (Beatrice)
Kahn, Mrs. Hyman (Mildred) Can-
tor of Miami Beach and Mrs. Louis
(Helen) Krell of N. Hollywood.
