Ronna Joy Robinson and Dr.
Kenneth Blazofsky were united in
marriage recently at Cong. Bnai
David. Rabbis M. Robert Syme

Following a Mexico honeymoon,
the couple will live in Farmington.
The bride's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Theodore Spitz of Vassar Dr.
and the late Samuel A. Robinson.
Her husband is the son of Mrs.
Anna Blazofsky of Greenfield Rd.,
Oak Park, and the late Nathan
Blazofsky.
The bride wore her mother's
gown, made by her grandmother,
of satin with an elongated bodice,
long sleeves and an open neckline
of rose pointe Chantilly lace. Her
fitted cap of matching lace was at-
tached to a cathedral-length train
of silk illusion. She carried minia-

Col. Stella Levy, commander of
the Women's Army of Israel
(Chen) which she helped found,
will speak at a dessert luncheon
noon Monday at the home of Mrs.
Sidney Ravin, 28740 Brookslane,
Southfield.
The luncheon, for Israel Bond
sponsors, builders and trustees of
Israel. is in advance of the testi-
monial dinner honoring Emma
Schaver. chairman of the Detroit
Israel Bond Women's Division.
Mrs. David Pollack is sponsor

Col. Levy, who is making her
first visit to Detroit. is at age 43.
a veteran of four wars: World
War II. Israel's War of Indepen-
dence, the Sinai Campaign of 1956
and the Six-Day War.
Born in Haifa. at a young age
she joined the Hagana, Israel's
underground force. In 1942, she
enlisted in the British army and
served in the Auxiliary Territorial
Service in Egypt. After the war,
she continued as a secretary in the
Palestinian headquarters of the
British army. On May 18, 1948.
during Israel's War of Liberation,
Col. Levy was called to help form
the first Women's Army of Israel
and was a company commander
in the Northern Command.

sumed her present post in 1963.
As commander of the Women's
Army, Col. Levy plans and super-
vises the training program for
recruits. The girls receive basic
military training and perform
administrative and other non-
combatant duties. Many teach or
do cultural, welfare or nursing
work.
