WHEN GUEST SPEAKER Ed
ward P. Morgan, internationally
known TV and radio commenta-
tor, news analyst, correspondent
and author, according to billing
given him, was finally called to
the podium at the 50th anniver-
sary banquet of Perfection Lodge
486, F & AM, the time was al-
most a quarter to ten . . . The 600
men and women gathered had been
sitting since 7 p.m. and earlier
which no doubt put him at a dis-
tinct disadvantage . . Morgan's
topic was "The Middle East" . .
and as a newspaperman he is ex-

SEATED AT THE SAME table
were optometrists Dr. Ben Stein
and Dr. Sol Losnick ... Having to
read something, Ben discovered he
had left his glasses home, so he
borrowed those owned by Sol . .
As it turned out, both have the
same reading prescription! ...Ben
and Sol are new grandparents, and
while comparing notes on their
respective grandsons, an interest-
ed lady at the table showed her
grandchild's picture and suddenly
popped out her contact lens . . .
But the two gallant optometrists
were equal to the task and soon
brought peace and tranquility by
coming to her immediate rescue.

YETTA MELTON, manicurist at
the Oak Manor Barber Shop in
Oak Park, combines holding hands
and paws . . . She is not only a
dedicated breeder of dogs, but
one of the few gals around with
the proud avocation of breeding
the very beautiful Lhasa Apso
show dogs . . One of them re-
cently gave Yetta a first place in
its class at the Pontiac Dog Show.

AL DUBIN OF Debonair Clean-

replacement for our 6-year-old
son Scott's lost French poodle,
Beau Beau . . . Thanks, Al, and
all the other swell folks, but none
can replace Beau Beau in Scott's
eyes, and our little boy still feels
that Beau Beau will come back.

WHILE IN THE hospital after
a second gall bladder seizure,
Harry Gross thought the second
operation was making him see
things . . . But he didn't have to
shake his head too much—the fel-

New Grace, was an old classmate
buddy of 24 years ago at Central
High School in Cleveland.
