Ladies of Yeshiva Plan
Annual Donor Luncheon

The Ladies of the Yeshivath Beth
Beth Yehudah and Women's Sab-
bath League will hold its annual
donor luncheon 12:30 p.m. Oct.
31 at Beth Joseph Synagogue.
Proceeds will go toward its scholar-
ship fund.
Co-chairmen are Mrs. Louis Honig-
man, Arthur Cutler, Walter Ep-
stein and Brucha Faigenbaum.

Among the out-of-town guests to attend the Bar Mitzva of Kenneth
Allen Stern, son of Mrs. Sylvia Stern, 14530 Northfield, Oak Park,
were Mrs. Mary Mellman and Bernard J. Mellman of St. Louis, Dr.
and Mrs. M. Alpern of East Liverpool, 0., Mr. and Mrs. Sol Drapkin
of Milwaukee and Mrs. Laura Hamburger of Miami Beach.

Felix Cukerman of Montevideo, Uruguay, will be living with Dr.
and Mrs. Richard J. Bayles of Weyher Ave., Livonia for the coming
year while attending Clarenceville High School as a senior. The Bayles
family drove to Miami in August to pick up their "son" and show
him part of the country.
Mr. and Mrs. Moishe Dworkin and their son Ben Abraham of New
York are visiting with Mr. Dworkin's mother, Airs. Dora Dworkin,
8811 W. Seven Mile, through Sunday. Mr. Dworkin is national director
of the Student Zionist Organization.
Mrs. Elsie Greenfield, formerly of Hollywood, Fla., is now residing
at 18226 Washburn.

According to Ray Levin, VIP
director, hundreds of volunteers
are needed in Israel since overseas
students who volunteered for the
summer have returned home to
enter school. He added that the
request from Israel for volunteers
includes 900 people to work as
civilians in cataloguing captured
equipment, 350 to work in mosha-
vim, more than 100 in archeologi-
cal digs and others to clear the
area on Mt. Scopus. The, majority
of the volunteers, who have been
absorbed in over 260 different
places, are working in kibutzim
from Dan to Eilat.
