Congregations Participating in Bond Appeal Twenty-six congregations a r e joining in the annual Israel Bond High Holy Day appeals and other congregationally centered activi- ties, it was' announced by Phillip Stollman, chairman of the Congre- gational and High Holy Day Coun- cil. Traditionally the congregations and the High Holy Day appeals are a major source of Israel Bond subscriptions. This year, practi- cally every congregations in De- troit participated in the Israel Bond Emergency Campaign in June. Adas Shalom Synagogue has led the congregations, not only in the Detroit metropolitan area, but the entire nation, in the response of Siegel Dr. Nesher its members to the appeal by Rabbi Jacob E. Segal.. Congrega- of the Jewish Telegraph Agency and a noted novelist; Ira Feinberg, military expert and world traveler; Dr. Aryeh Nesher, coordinator of Israel's "Sherut La'Am," Israel's immigration absorbtion program and a social scientist; and Zev Siegel, a leader in the refugee rescue program and one of the first Americans to open an in- dustrial plant in Israel.
