with an honorary LLD. in 1944.
He also received an honorary de-
gree from the University of Detroit.
On his 65th birthday, his gift
of $500,000 to Sinai Hospital en-
abled the establishment of the
Shapero School of Practical Nurs-
ing.

its 1967 Award Ceremony 10 a.m.

film on conditions in Israel will be
shown to division workers.
Special certificates of apprecia-
tion will be awarded to division
workers for their efforts in the
campaign and the Israel Emer-
gency Fund.
Barden said that the 1967 cam-
paign was one of the most success-
ful that the division has had.
Workers raised 10 per cent more
funds for the division than in 1966
and reached a large number of
new contributors.
