JERUSALEM—An enlarged six-
man delegation will go to Geneva
to represent the Israeli parliament
at the meeting of the Council of
the Inter-Parliamentary Union
opining in Geneva next Tuesday.
The delegation was enlarged
from its customary two members
UI six because of the fight it will
face to prevent adoption of a
Soviet-Arab resolution condemning
Israel as an aggressor in the June
war
The resolution sponsored by the
Sot let Union and the Arab states
follow the lines of the Soviet
resolution in the emergency ses-
sion of the United Nations General
Assembly which was overwhelm-
ingly rejected there. It calls for
- liquidation of the consequences of
Israeli aggression," withdrawal by
Israel from the territories it has •

occupied and compensation by
Israel for the losses suffered by
Egypt. Jordan and Syria.

The IPU is not an official body,
and its decisions are in no way
binding. but Israel is-ill seek to pre-
vent adoption by the parliamen-
tarians of the condemnatory resolu-
tion. Instead. it will ask the coun-
cil to send fact-finding missions to
all the countries involved in the
June hostilities and to exert its
influence to secure conclusion of a
stable and lasting peace.

The Knesset delegation will con-
sist of David Hacohen, Dr. Yohan-
nan Bader, Itzhak Nuvon. Haim
Zadok. Joseph Sirlin and Israel
Ben-heir.

Sao Paulo Jews Observe
Anniversary of Red Purge

SAO PAULO, Brazil (JTA —
More than 500 persons participat-
ed here Sunday night in a solemn
service commemorating the 15th
anniversary of the execution in
the Soviet Union of the USSR's
leading Jewish intellectuals purged
by the late Josef Stalin.
The event had been arranged
by the Federation of Jewish Com-
munities here, under the chair-
manship of acting president Mar-
cos Firer. 'Among the speakers
were Prof. Florestan Fernandes,
chairman 4f the sociology depart-
ment of Sao Paulo University; Dr.
Julio Mesquita, director of the
newspaper Estado de Sao Paulo:
and Meyer Kticzinsky. who deliver-
ed a moving address in Yiddish.
A reading of the poem "Babi
Yar" by Soviet poet Yevgeny Yev-
tushenko was rendered by promi-
nent actor Sergio Cardoso.
