Marshall, whose latest work, "Swift Sword," an account of the six-day Israel victorious campaign, will be out this week. Weinstein was installed as brigadier general of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve July 13 at a ceremony in. Washington before the General Symposium, which con- sisted of some 50 generals of the Regular Marine Corps. Weinstein is the first Michiganian and the second Jewish general in the his- tory of the U.S. Marine Reserve. He is serving as the assistant di- vision commander of the Second Marine Division. Tamir, a third generation Sabra, has serv- ed as d eputy Brandwine commander-in-chief for personnel and administration of the Israel Air Force and was chief of the administrative office of the Tech- nical School, and head of the of- fice of chief instructor of the Fly- ing School and chief of the Head- quarters Organizational Branch. He has served as adviser on problems of small air forces to several African nations and was a member of the Officers Advanc- ed Training School in the British Royal Air Force. He joined the Hagana in his youth and was im- prisoned by British authorities. During Israel's War of Indepen- dance he served with an infantry division in the Negev. He joined the air force during its early be- ginnings. Tamir has a law degree from the University of Tel Aviv and a master's in business adminis- tration from George Washington University.
