here as an emissary on behalf of
the JNF Foundation.
Amitz-Lev was to have come to
the United States previously to
work for the JNF Foundation in
Michigan and Ohio. However, dur-
ing the last crisis, he was mobi-
lized into the army and served in
a field hospital caring for the
wounded in the Latrun territory
en route to Jerusalem.
Born in 1937 in Jerusalem,
Amitz-Lev was graduated from the
Hebrew University in economics
and statistics. For eight years he
was employed by the Israeli gov-
ernment in the offices of the min

Bereznitzer Aid Society donated two Tora scrolls to the Jewish
Home for the Aged's Borman Hall. At the time of the hall's
construction, Berezniter contributed $10,000, and this is the second
