Morris M. Mittleman, founder
25 years ago of the Lustra Lamp
Co., wholesale firm at 13034 Wood-
row Wilson, died last Saturday at
age 54.
Mr. Mittleman, who was co-
owner of the firm, was a member
of the Furniture Club of Detroit
and the Michigan F ur nit ur e
Traveling Salesman's Club. He
also belonged to Cong. Beth Aaron,
Mosaic Lodge F&A-1I and Crescent
Shrine Club.
Born in Omaha, Mr. Mittle-
man, 18950 Washburn, was 'a 40-
year resident of Detroit.
Survivors are his wife, Betty;
a son, Robert; two daughters,
Linda and Mrs. David (Fraudelle)
Glaser of Windsor; five brothers,
Harry, Alan, Daniel of Chicago,
Rudy of Flint and Dr. Irving of
Sioux City; and three grandchil-
dren.

NEW YORK (JTA) — Michael
G. Tr e s s, national president of
Agudath Israel of America, died
Sunday night at age 56. He has led
the national Orthodox movement
for two decades.

Orthodox delegations from 10
cities attended the funeral services
at the Yeshiva Tora Vodaas, in
Brooklyn.

The former Detroiter who was
killed in the Arab-Israel war was
Avner Zamir, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Moshe Zamir. It was stated incor-
rectly in last week's paper that
Moshe Zamir was the casualty.
