JOCELYN News Brandeis Graduates Front Michigan Brandeis University awarded degrees to 378 seniors and 169 graduate students at its 16th com- mencement exercises. Sixty-four were doctor of phil- osophy degrees, one was a doctor of social work degree, 100 were master of arts degrees and four were master of fine arts degrees. More than one-third of the class, 139 seniors, were graduated with honors; 93 received their degrees cum laude, 34 magna cum laude, and 12 summa cum laude.
