"E'S AJC Protests Libya Massacre
B. Abram, president of
the American Jewish Committee,
announces that his agency had
urged the U.S. State Department
to protest reported acts of violence
against members of the Jewish
community of Libya, estimated to
number more than 3,000.

NEW YORK (JTA) — Seven
Scarsdale high school students,
including David Arnow, son of
Robert Arnow, president of the
Jewish Telegraphic Agency, raised
$10,000 for Israel in a house-to-
house solicitation ia Scarsdale.
Reporting the solicitation, the
United Jewish Appeal said the
donations included two checks for
$1,000 each and one check for
$5,000. The money was sought to
buy medical supplies for Israel.
