"We are expressing our faith in
Israel and its great future by dis-

report production being main-
tained by special efforts of man-
agement and employes. Textile
and fashion shipments to the
United States go forth from the
port of Haifa. We must support
Israel's economy by buying Israeli
ready-to-wear in department stores I
and specialty shops."

Ohio's Wilberforce U.
Honors Alfred May

Detroit attorney Alfred A. May
will be honored at the Founders'
Day banquet of Wilberforce Uni-
versity 8 p.m. June 16 at the
Statler-Hilton Hotel in recognition
of his being named 1967 recipient
of the Distinguished Service Award
of the university.

The only privately supported,
predominantly Negro university in

Dr. Rembert E. Stokes, presi-
dent of the university, will present
the award at the banquet, spon-
sored by the Detroit Chapter of

L. H. Seltzer to Lectu re at Wharton School

Lawrence H. Seltzer, who be-
came Distinguished Visiting Pro-
fessor of Economics at Swarthmore
College after his retirement from
Wayne State University last June,
has been appointed visiting pro-
fessor of economics at the Whar-
ton School of the University of
Pennsylvania for next fall. He and
Mrs. Seltzer continue to make their
home in Detroit. at 19475 Strat-
ford Road.

Hebrew Club to Open
at Center on June 21

Nancy Geraldine Walker, daugh-
ter of Mrs. Gerald Walker of Pon-
tiac and the late Dr. Walker, and
Alan Michael Raznick, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Raznick of
Brooks Lane, Southfield, were
united in marriage recently at the
Kingsley Inn. Rabbi Israel Hal-
pern officiated.
The bride wore a traditional,
floor-length gown. She carried or-
chids on a Bible.
Mrs. Fred Katzman was matron
of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna
Green, Mrs. Stanton Walker,
Elaine Kratzie and Barbara Raz-
nick.
Fred Sheldon Raznick, brother
of the bridegroom, served as best
man. Ushers were Staceton Walk-
er, David Raznick, Mark Walker
and Robert Walker.
The bride was graduated from
the University of Michigan school
of dental hygiene. The bridegroom
was graduated from Wayne State
University and the Detroit College
of Law.
The couple plans a honeymoon
in Puerto Rico and the Virgin
Islands.

A Hebrew club open to all speak-
ers and students of modern He-
brew will begin its weekly activi-
ties 1 p.m. June 21 in the Allen
Lounge of the Jewish Community
Center.

The club is open to everyone
