SIIOLEM ALEICHEM LODGE
will hold its installation meeting
7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Turover
Hall. Philip Kaplan, president of
the Yiddish-speaking, lodge, will
greet members and guests and in-
troduce the chairman of the eve-
ning, Alex Gottlieb, past president,
who will conduct the evening. Al-
fred Bounin will install Philip Le-
vine, president; Walter Litt, Israel
Fischhoff and Nathan Wiss, vice
presidents; Jacob Gubow, treasurer;
Meier Rosenthal and Morris Coven-
sky, secretaries; J. Applebaum and
Israel Finkelstone, hospitalers;
Harry Cash, Alex Gottlieb, Sam
Selikowitz, Morris Wein and Ben
Grant, trustees; Meyer Lewenthal,
guardian; Samuel Bassin, warden;
Philip Kaplan. chaplain; and Harry
Kaminer, publicity chairman. Mem-
bers are asked to bring prospective
members. Refreshments will be
served. Sholem Alcichem Lodge,
organized about four years ago,
participates earnestly in the organ-
ization's program. In fund-raising,
it has acceded its quota each year.
In getting new members and also
in retention of the old, it tops the
list of the Detroit lodges.

will salute its paid-up members
with a petite buffet cocktail party
8 p.m. Thursday at Workmen's
Circle Center. Rabbi Milton Arm
will speak, and a special prize will
be awarded. Entertainment and re-
