Detroiter Honored at Special Bar-Ilan University Function Special to The Jewish News RAMAT GAN, Israel — A group of visiting Detroiters was honored here May 18 at a luncheon ex- tended by President Max Jammer of Bar-Ilan University. With Mrs. Max Stollman, na- tional chairman of Bar-Ilan Women of America, presiding, the program of Bar-Ilan was outlined by Presi- dent Jammer, Prof. Marshall Lu- ban of Seattle, Wash., presently a faculty member of Bar-Ilan, and Pinchus Spielman, public rela- tions director of the university. The luncheon was addressed by the hosts at the luncheon who rep- resented the university and Philip Slomovitz, one of the visiting De- troiters. Guests included, in addition to Mrs. Stollman, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Slomovitz and Gabriel Slomovitz, the following: Mr. and Mrs. Nor- man Cottler, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bodzin, Mr. and Mrs. Max Ostrow, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dreylinger, Melvin Stollman and Mrs. Samuel N. Heyman, former Detroiter now residing in San Francisco. A feature of the event at Bar- Ilan was the unveiling by Mrs. Stollman of a tablet with the names of more than 300 Detroit- ers who have been enrolled as life members of Bar-Ilan Women There are three things that arc lordly in stride.
