THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS

Helping kids is just good business

Forget that they're frightened, worried kids.
Stop thinking about yourself as a kid—of the days

when the breaks weren't coming your way—when you,
too, were worried, frightened, perhaps hungry.
Don't see their eyes, searching for a friend. Just
look at the whole thing as a business proposition.
Here's the UJA asking you to help 827,600 persons
in Israel and thirty overseas countries—half of them

children and youngsters.
Now—if you really give—you can get quite a return

for your money.
You can help the UJA assist 412,000 youngsters

who can become capable and useful, citizens.

Tomorrow, a lot of them will help Israel become
self-sustaining and a land of inspiration to all.

Some may even go on to produce the things all
humanity needs—an answer to cancer—a new art
masterpiece—a new road to peace.

So, sentiment aside, it's plain good business to
help UJA help all those kids, isn't it?

And besides—think of the side benefits:—that

small, worried boy or girl still deep inside of you,
might just smile and let you feel good at the thought
that now you are helping OTHER kids.
