troit 48235. VE 8-9364. Written an-
nouncements must be accompanied by
the name and address of the person

United Social Club Sets
Memorial to Six Million

Memorial services for the six
million will be held 2 p.m. May 7
at Young Israel of Oak Woods.
The United Jewish Social Club,
sponsoring the services, has pur-
chased land through the Jewish
National Fund to plant 1,000- trees
in commemoration of the martyrs
in Israel's Kennedy Forest. A
monument with a scroll listing
their names will be placed in the
forest.
Memorial services will be deliv-
ered by Rabbis James Gordon,
Eliezer Levin and Leo Goldman.
Memorial prayers will 'be recited
by Cantors Louis Klein and Mendel
Klein.

Ex-Detroiter Ida Schultz -

Ida Schultz, former Detroiter of
Los Angeles, died April 21 at age
74. Born in Detroit. Mrs. Schultz
and her late husband William
operated Bill's Market on Linwood
and Elmhurst Ayes. for many
years.
She was past matron of -the Order
of the Eastern Star, gave many
hours of service to cancer-fighting
groups and belonged to the Rebe-
kahs. During World War II, Mrs.
Schultz drove a blood donor truck.
Survivors are her two daughters.
Mrs. Morris (Miriam) Rose of
Studio City, Calif., and Mrs. Henry
(Dorothy) Standish of Detroit; four
grandchildren and two great-grand-
children.

Albert M. (Al) Green, one of
Detroit's best-known restaurateurs.
died April 20 at age 65.
8162 East Jefferson,
was board chairman of Al Green
Enterprises Inc which operates
the restaurants in the Fisher Build-
ing and the Bronze Door in Grosse
Pointe.
Chicago-born, but a Detroiter for
45 years, Mr. Green began his res-
taurant business with a small es-
tablishment called The Pines on
Lothrop. This grew into a multi-
million-dollar business which in-
cluded posh restaurants, catering
and automatic food vending. He
owned and operated Al Green's
Restaurant at Jefferson and Bea-
consfield from 1942 to 1964.
Mr. Green was a member of
John Carson Smith Lodge F8.AM
in Chicago, the Scottish Rite
bodies and Moslem Shrine and
Temple Israel.
Surviving are his wife, Lyda;
and two sisters, Rose and Mayme,
both of Chicago. Interment Chi-
cago.

of Malibu, Calif. and Laurence of
Van Nuys; one brother, one sister
and four grandchildren.

25. He leaves his wife. Mary; three
daughters, Mrs. Herman (Magda)
Fox, Mrs. Maxwell (Anne) Jospey
