been appointed executive director

production of "The Village I
Knew;" and Uri Katz, a native of
Israel, and a professional folk
dancer who was chosen to repre-
sent his country at the Interna-
tional Youth Festival in Moscow.
Also, Ayalah Klingman, a young
Israeli here on the exchange visi-
tors program, currently working as
music and dance director of the
United Hebrew Schools and study-
ing with Julius Chajes.
Narrator is Evelyn Orbach, pro-
gram associate of the Jewish Com-
munity Council, and producer of
"Out of Bondage"; production as-
sistants, Bert Wember and Dorothy

Bonnie Sue Rotenberg became
the bride of Robert Winston Rob-
erts Sunday in a ceremony at Bnai
David Congregation. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Manuel
Leonard Rotenberg, of Vassar Dr.
and Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Rob-
erts of Woodston Rd.
The bride wore a cage of Swiss
net embroidered in three-dimen-
sional flowers. The sheer cage
fell softly over a fitted peau de
soie gown. The bride's face was
framed with veiling embroider-
ed with matching flowers that
cascaded into a cathedral train.
The bride carried baby's breath
and daisies.
Mrs. Charles Levy, sister of the
bridegroom, served as matron of
honor. Janice Rotenberg, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Pamela Madsen
of East Lansing, Linda Cohn, Dale
I lower, Feather Frechette of
Clarkston, Marcey Rotenberg and
Suzanne Steffin. Stephanie Schu-
man was the flower girl.
Ushers were Mickey Richmond,
Basil Nemer, Ronald Roberts,
Richard Fenton, Stuart Rotenberg,
Gerald Winston of Cincinnati. Rob-
ert Fenton, Michael Roberts. Ed-
ward Roberts and Philip Deytshe.
Serving as best man was Charles
Levy.
After a honeymoon trip to Flor-
ida. the couple will reside in
Royal Oak.

Farband to Show
Yiddish Theater

Ben Harold, president of the
Farband City Committee, an-
nounces that Farband will present
Yiddish theater 8:30 p.m. Wednes-
day at the Labor Zionist Institute.
An ensemble of six stars of the
New York American Jewish musi-
cal comedy stage will feature a
new musical review, "Sholem Alei-
diem Yidden," conceived and di-
rected by Ben Bonus, It is based
on current events and gems of.
Jewish folklore,
The ensemble includes actress
and singer Mina Bern, as well as
Shmulik Goldstein, Suzanne Wal-
ters, Bernard Sauer, the musical
director-pianist Rene Solomon and
director, actor and singer Bonus.
Their appearance here is part
of a nationwide tour under the
auspices of Farband-Labor Zionist
Order.
In charge of the local appear-
ance of the Farband Theater En-
semble is a committee headed by
Oscar Rappaport, assisted by J. L.
Stone and Louis Levine.

Dr. LEON LUJOVNE of Buenos
Aires, a leading member of the
Argentinian Jewish community,
was the guest recently of the
American Section of the World
Jewish Congress at a reception in
New York. A scholar and journal-
ist, Dr. Dujovne is the editor of
the Argentinian Jewish weekly
"Mundo Israelita." Dr. Dujovne is
in New York on his way to Israel
at the invitation of President Zal-
man Shazar. In Israel he will lec-
ture on cultural aspects of South
Arnercia as well as on the situa-
tion of the Jewish communities
in the Latin American culture.
