Israel Festival of Music,
Drama Set in Caesarea

CAESAREA — A varied pro-
gram, including the Kathakali
Dance Theater of India, the
American Dance Theater of Alvin
Ailey,
the Vocal Sextet Luca
Marenzio and evenings of chamber
music with Isaac Stern, Leonard
Rose and Eugene Istomin, will
highlight the seventh Israel Festi-
val of Music and Drama. Most of the
performances during the month-
long festival, July 30 to Aug. 29,
will he held in the excavated 20-
centuries-old Roman theater at
Caesarea.

The French composer-conductor
Pierre Boulez will lead the Kol
Israel Symphony Orchestra in a
program with accent on Bartok
and Boulez's own works. Later in
August pianist Lili Kraus will play
with the same orchestra, mainly
Mozart and Schubert. Also per-
forming will be Frank Pelleg, Is-
rael's leading pianist.

'The Boston Strangler'

Richard Fleischer will direct
filmization of Gerold Frank's best-
seller, "The Boston Strangler," for
20th Century-Fox, with a budget
of $3,000,000. Terence Rattigan is
writing the screen play.
