Louis Bernbaum, 64;
Long-time Pharmacist

Louis N. Bernbaum, pharmacist
in Detroit for 45 years, died April
6 at age 84.
Mr. Bernbaum. owner of Medical
Professional Pharmacy, 5050 Joy,
was a former member of Adas
Shalom and also belonged to Pis-
gah Lodge of Bnai Brith, National
Association of Retail Druggists
and the American Pharmaceutical
Association. He was born in Rus-

Malhen to Open Israel

Speech Therapy School

TEL AVIV—A speech therapy
school, the first. of its kind in Is-
rael, is a major new project
planned by Malben-Joint Distribu-
tion Committee for 1967, it was
announced by Harold Trobe, JDC
director for Israel.
The school, scheduled to open
in the fall at the Tel Aviv Uni-
versity, will seek to overcome
Israel's severe shortage of quali-
fied speech therapists. This has
been the chief obstacle in develop-
ing rehabilitation programs for
hard-of-hearing children, stroke
victims, and others with hearing
or speech defects.
