The agreement provides for ex-
changes in the fields of eco-
nomics, science, technology, tour-
ism and trade. The trade phase,
it was reported, provides mainly
for Israeli imports of farm prod-

industrials and chemicals to Ro-
mania. Israel also will export
technical know-how to Romania.

Herut Mavericks Form
Own Faction in Knesset

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Three
former members of Ilerut, who
broke away from their party
several weeks ago, announced here
the formation of a "Free Bloc" for
independent faction inside the
Knesset, of which they are mem-
bers.
They are Shmuel Tamil- , E.
Shostak and A. Tayar. They an-
nounced the formation of the new
parliamentary bloc after Cabal—
the fusion of Ilerut and the Liberal
Party—refused to recognize them
as a third division inside Gahal.

The , action followed Gahal's
refusal to restore to the three
their parliamentary rights, in-
cluding, membership in parlia-
mentary committees, from which
Iierut expelled them six weeks
a go.

Gahal appointed a committee to
examine the possibility of the re-
storation of those rights to the
three members. But the three re-
fused to wait for that committee's
decision.
They also spurned proposals
which, they said, failed to give
them an equal footing with Herut
and Liberal members.
As a result of the formation of
the independent faction. Gahal
now left with 23 members, of
whom 12 belong to the Liberals
and 11 to Ilerut.
Tamir said after his group's an-
nouncement that the new faction
would seek a new parliamentary
lineup with the Liberals—if Gahal
should break up—or with Rafi, the
Israel Workers Party led by fer-
nier Premier David Ben-Gurion.

Gahal (Herut-Liberal Alignment)

which he said brought about the
situation in which the three Herut

Dultzin, who left for a visit to

Israel's Fashions Exports

Israel's total exports of fashions
amounted to about $8,000,000 last
year, of which nearly $5,000,000
went to the United States. A major
factor in building these exports
has been the annual Israel Bond
Fashion Shows, which are staged
in more than sixty communities in
the U.S. and Canada under the
sponsorship of the National Wom-
en's Division of Israel Bonds. Fash-
ions and textiles together ($28,-
000,000) now constitute Israel's
fourth largest export, exceeded
only by citrus, diamonds and chem-
icals.
