The Jewish Institute for Brides
and Grooms, the first public serv-
ice of its kind in the Midwest, will
hold a biennial series of lectures
and forums designed to orient
prospective married couples to-
ward their role in marriage.
The first meeting, to take place
8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jewish
Center, will be concerned
with "Strains and Stresses in
Modern Marriage." Marriage coun-
selor Margaret Weiner. ACSW, and
Rabbi Hayim Donin of Bnai David
Synagogue will discuss critical as-
pects of marriage which confront
a young couple today.
In the second meeting, sched-
uled for April 6, Rabbi James
Gordon will talk on "The Part-
nership of Marriage." The con-
cluding lecture of this series,
April 13, will feature a frank
discussion by Dr. Andrew
Freier, obstetrician and gyne-
cologist, on "Marriage, Sex and
Judaism."
