Howard Shapiro could become Junior Achievement's best sales- man in Southeast Michigan if he wins the next grueling competition set before him and five other teen- agers, semi-finalists in a series of Junior Achievement contests. The youngest of the six South- eastern Michigan competitors, Howard will be judged next month on appearance, poise, ef- fective sales presentation, abil- ity to communicate and amount of personal sales of products of his JA company. Winner for the area will try for regional honors at Pittsburgh. The national champion will be determ- ined in the final testing at Cleve- land in May. The award includes a $1,000 scholarship and an all-ex- pense paid trip to the National Junior Achiever Conference this summer at Indiana University.
