For tickets and informa- tion contact Mrs. Harry Schechter, EL 3-6474. * * Phonogift Drive toSpur Efforts by Women'sGroup Seven hundred women will staff the Phonogift project of the Wom- en's Division March 8 - 22 in a gigantic fund-raising effort for the 1967 Allied Jewish Campaign. Under the leadership of Mrs. Ben Mossman, 600 volunteers will make telephone calls to approxi- mately 10,000 potential women con- tributors from headquarters at the Zionist Cultural Center. A Motor Corps of 100 women will act as couriers to pick up pledges and gifts from women contributors. Assisting Mrs. Mossman on the committee are Mrs. Milton Sorock, executive secretary to the chairman; Mrs. Milton A. Weiss, coordinator; and Mrs. Morris J. Brandwine, adviser. Executive vice chairmen are Mesdames Morris Baker, Harry Frank, Sidney S. Hertz and Morris Miller. Mrs. Arthur Libby is secretary. Mrs. Miles Jaffe is co-chairman in charge of the Motor Corps in Detroit, where four dispatching offices will be set up in the North- west area. Mrs. Gerald Gerger is in charge of the suburban dispatch points in Oak Park, Southfield, Birming- ham and Franklin. The Phonogift is a project of the women's division of the cam- paign, with Mrs. Arthur L. Rice as chairman. Last year the divi- sion raised more than $700,000 for the Allied Jewish Campaign, the largest amount raised by a worn- en's division in the country.
