22-Friday, February 17, 1967 THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS JWV Women's National President to Make Official Visit to Michigan Mrs. David Kozlow, national pres- ident of the Ladies Auxiliary to Jewish War Veterans, will make her official visit to the Department of Michigan March 12 and 13, ac- cording to Department President Mrs. William Love. Mrs. Kozlow will be in Detroit for the fifth regional conference of Jewish War Veterans which will be held at the Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel March 10-12. As a Milwau- kee resident, she is a member of the region which encompasses 14 Midwest states. Regional command- er is Lawrence Gubow, U.S. district attorney for Southeastern Michigan and a past department commander of Michigan. The women's department will honor the national president by presenting, in her honor, Amer- ican flags which have flown over the Capital, to Sherrard Junior High School 2:30 p.m. March 13. Mrs. Sol Goldberg, patriotic in- structor for the Michigan Depart- JWV ment, has stated that the presi- dents and patriotic instructors of Michigan's 12 auxiliaries will attend the presentation. Mrs. Jack Iden, a past president of the Michigan Department and the national legislation chairman, will moderate the program for JWVA. On March 13 at 7 p.m., a testi- monial dinner will be held at Green- field's restaurant, Oak Park, for Mrs. Kozlow. The meeting will lie followed by an official department meeting. Greeting Mrs. Kozlow will be the Michigan commander, Jack Berman, on behalf of his depart- ment. Mrs. Oscar Katz, past president, is chairman of the national presi- dent's official visit. 90 Veterans to Be Cited on RosenwaldAnniversary Julius Rosenwald Post, the only American Legion post in Michigan comprised of veterans of the Jew- ish faith, will celebrate its 35th anniversary 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cong. Beth . Yehudah. Ninety members, more than half of whom have been members for 35 years, will receive citations. In addition, American Legion school awards will be presented to four graduates of Durfee Junior High School. The post's anniversary will be highlighted with a dinner April 12 at Gagen's. .
