A "first" in Detroit art life will
be presented 11 a.m., Wednesday,

Detroit Israel Bond Women's Di-
vision sponsors program of which

Under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Louis Berry, a cross-section of .
Israeli oil paintings, collages,
water colors, engravings, litho-
graphs, seriographs and sculpture
will symbolize the creative fer-
ment and vitality of Israel and
of the 2,000-year-old Jewish cul-
ture.
The works of world famed artists
like Marc Chagall and Ruvien
Rubin will be seen at the exhibit
side by side with the creations
of dynamic new painters and sculp-
tors emerging in the past several
years like Polansky, Yafa Royter,
Zolton Perlmuetter, Ra-Ayeni,
Malan, J. Eisenberg and Rosen.
Other outstanding artists repre-
sented at the exhibit include Jossi
Stern, J. Kossonigi, Weintraub,
Mane Katz, Lavinoff, Mairovich,
Rado, Joel Rohr and Zvi Livni.

Hadassah Hospital Sets Up
Clinic for Easing of Pain

JERUSALEM — A new clinic for
the treatment of patients suffering
from chronic pain, by a local
blocking of nerves, has recently
been set up by the anesthetics
department of the Hadassah-Uni-
versity Hospital.
The clinic at present functions
twice a week for long-term special-
ist-referred patients, such as can-
cer cases, patients with blood ves-
sel diseases, for whom movement
is painful and others suffering
from brain damage which results
in paralysis and accompanying
spasm. Treatment is administered
to relieve pain and relax muscles
for a specific time, be, it a week,
a month,- bi- even a year.
