Northeastern University. A 1961
graduate of Northeastern, Cohen
was a member of the varsity track
squads in 1959 and 1960. From
1962-65, he was a part-time assist-
ant coach at his alma mater. Steve
Omeltchenko had a big week re-
cently. Omeltchenko, track and
cross-country coach of the Kings
Point Merchant Marine Academy,
was promoted to lieutenant com-
mander and had his cross-country
team capture the Collegiate Track
Conference title. Omeltchenko com-
peted in the Maccabiah Games in
1953.
