NEW YORK — Special courses
given in English have begun at the
Hebrew University this year as a
service to students from abroad,
it was reported by the office of
academic affairs of the American
Friends of the Hebrew University.
Simultaneously, it was announced
that applications are now being ac-
cepted for the 13th annual one-year
study program for American stu-
dents.
The 1966-67 group from America
is comprised of 137 third year stu-
dents and recent graduates who
are now in the midst of their
regular course of study after a
four-month Ulnan period (intensive
training in Hebrew). This is the
largest group in the program's his-
tory, and it is anticipated that
this number will be greatly ex-
ceeded in the coming year. Some
prior knowledge of Hebrew is de-
sirable for participation.
Candidates should submit their
applications by Feb. 15, to the of-
fice of Academic Affairs, 11 East
69th St., New York 10021.
