The pipeline cost was estimated at 16,000,000 pounds ($3,333,000). The potash would be converted to a fluid mix with magnesium chloride. After extraction of the potash, the chloride also would be exported, a step which would re- duce considerably the price for world markets and make it more competitive. The engineers indi- cated that other byproducts, cur- rently discarded for export, might also be shipped. Such use of those byproducts is currently not feas- ible because of the high transporta- tion charges. This implies the need for immediate payments on Bond purchases, he emphasized, and he called the "Action Day" program vital for the current critical situation. Levitan said Israel Bond volunteers will meet at the Sholem Aleichem Institute, for the commencement of the drive at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Volunteer workers are asked to contact the Israel Bond workers, DI 1-5707, to arrange for participation and to secure assignments. Melvin Weisz and Mrs. Harold A. Robinson are grand marshals of "Israel Action Day." They report that hundreds of volunteers are being enrolled to help collect cash on Israel Bond pledges in the year-end campaign sponsored by the Detroit Israel Bond Committee. All those having unpaid pledges are asked to mail in their checks to the Israel Bond Office, 8522 W. McNichols, and to welcome the volunteers who come to collect. 100 DIRECTLY ON THE OCEAN NEAR LINCOLN MALL '6" `Action Day for Israel' Is Vital, Bond Manager Louis Levitan Stresses HOTEL. • MIAMI BEACH.
