neer WoMen, will meet Tuesday,
8:30 p.m., at the Labor Zionist In-
stitute. "Doctor Zhivago" will be
reviewed and there will be a report
on the annual donor luncheon. The

today at the home of Mrs. Joseph

Progress Reports at
Pre-Donor Meeting

The final meeting preceding its
culminating donor tea will be held
by the Women's Auxiliary of Jew-
ish National Fund 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Beth Aaron Syna-
gogue.
At this dessert luncheon, a blue
box collection report will be given
by Mrs. Morris Kraft, chairman.

Mrs. Albert Posen, states that
all division chair-
men will be ex-
pected to have
their progress re-
ports ready to
present at this
time.

Mrs. Edward Wishnetsky, pro-
gram chairman. announces that
entertainment will be furnished by
the Ha-Riveia Israeli dance troupe,
whose repertoire includes more
than 40 Israeli folk dances.
The donor tea will be held Jan.
24 at Temple Israel.

ing will be Mesdames Bernard
Stashefsky, Lewis Diamond, Nor-
man Sandweiss. Morris Kraft, Nor-
man Adilman, Benjamin Schwartz
and Israel Kardner. Mrs. Julius

Gerthansky, Morris Davis, Maurice

will present the second book re-
view of the series 10:30 a.m. Tues-
day, in the chapel of the syna-
gogue. Mrs. Joseph Katchke, presi-
dent, announces Rabbi Leonard S.
Cahan will review "From Tokyo
to Jerusalem,” the autobiography
of Dr. Abraham Kotsuji, a Japa-
nese professor and descendant of
a line of Shinto priests, who after
a lifetime of study, became a con-
vert to Judaism at age 60. Guests
are invited, according to Mrs.
Herman Canner, sisterhood's adult
study chairman.

Mail Slowing Down

The holiday rush is on. The
Jewish News advises all those
submitting copy to mail early,
or hand deliver, as the post of-
fice is feeling the pressure.
Copy received after deadline is
too late for publication. Because
the Jewish News office will be
closed Monday, Dec. 26 and
Jan. 2, there will be early dead-
lines of Friday, Dec. 23 and 30.

DAVID HORODOKER YOUNG
WOMEN ORGANIZATION will
hold a victory luncheon noon Tues-
day at the home of Mrs. Leo Hei-
man, 19600 Roslyn. Mesdames
Morris Gottlieb, Heiman and Julius
Zemmol will host the luncheon.
Mrs. Gottlieb has been named by
the organization as "Woman of
the Year," and a contribution in
her honor was made to Magen

nursery school for pre-schoolers
age 3-4 in the Workmen's Circle
Center.

the Combined Jewish School; to
teach them responsibility; to de-
velop a feeling for language work
