(JTA) — William Zorach, Lithuanian - born Jewish artist whose sculptures included biblical figures, died here Nov. 15 at age 79. Zorach rose from the back- ground of poverty of his immigrant parents, who fled Czarist persecu- tion of the Jews, to become one of the most successful artists, with his works being exhibited in more than 80 museums and galleries.
