TER will sponsor an "Afternoon
of Art" 12:15 p.m. Dec. 7, at the
Detroit Institute of Arts. A salad
luncheon will be served in the
Riviera Court, followed by a con-
ducted tour of the new wing of the
institute. There is a nominal charge
for the luncheon. For reservations
by Nov. 26, or for information, call

Tom Van Arsdale of the Detroit
Pistons basketball team at the
lodge sports dinner 8:30 p.m. Mon-
day at the Labor Zionist Institute.
Van Arsdale is half of the Na-
tional Basketball Association's only
twin brother act in its history.
Brother Dick is a starter for the
New York Knicks who'll be op-
posing the Pistons at Cohn Arena
Wednesday. The duo starred to-
gether for three years at Indiana
University after being All-America
high school greats in Indianapolis.
Tom averaged 10.5 points as a
rookie for the Pistons last season.
He'll bring along with him to
the dinner the NBA's new color
movie, highlighting the 1966 play-
offs and all-star game.

and appeared in a series of Yid-
dish plays.

Junior Division Plans
Speakers Bureau

The Junior Division of the Jew-
ish Welfare Federation, compris-
ed of young adults age 18-30, has
set up a speakers bureau to in-
form their contemporaries of the
aims and work of the Junior Divi-
sion.
Under the chairmanship of Al-
lan Nachman, the bureau will
stress the division's "new look":
community service, along with its
traditional goals of leadership edu-
cation and fund-raising.
In the area of service, the
division has set up a summer
tutorial program for culturally
deprived children.
For information, married couples
and single adults of junior divi-
sion age are asked to call Nach-
man, 963-8500, during the day.
