Dr. Guttmacher, a special lecturer in obstetrics and gyne- cology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surg- eons, is visiting professor at Al- bert Einstein Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, and is the author of "Planning Your Family" and other works. The other winner is Dr. George E. Palade of Rockefeller University. Each received $10,000 at presentation ceremonies Thurs- day.
