ROSENWALD POST, American
Legion, will participate in Sabbath
Veterans Day services at Adas
Shalom Synagogue 9 a.m. Saturday.
Veterans Day this year falls on
Friday. Rabbi Jacob Segal and
Assistant Rabbi Leonard Cahan,
both former chaplains in the armed
forces, will conduct the services.
All veterans and their wives are
invited.

BETH ABRAHAM MEN'S CLUB,
at its opening Breakfast Forum,
will hear Ray Girardin, police com-
missioner, 10 a.m. Sunday in the
social hall. The topic will be "The
Police and Community Conflict." A
question-answer period will follow,
Theodore Scholnick, president of
the club, will preside, and Rabbi
Israel I. Halpern will introduce the
speaker. For ticket information,

New Choral Group
to Sing at Men's
Club Conference

A men's club choral group has
been organized at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek under the chairmanship of
Joseph H. Cantor, musical direc-
tion of Dan Frohman; and the
counsel of Cantor Jacob Sonenklar.
The club will make its debut
Saturday night with a musical pro-
gram at the buffet supper dance
of the annual regional men's club
conference at Shaarey Zedek.

Members in the chorus are:
Dr. Allen Becker, Joseph H. Cantor,
Allen A. Charlip, Daniel Cullen, Dr. S.
Forman, H. Friedgood, A. Gardin, Irving
Goldman, Louis T. Klein, Dr. Jerry

The convention of the Great
Lakes Conference of the National
Federation of Jewish Men's
Clubs will be held today through
Sunday with "Lay Leadership"
as topic for discussion by the
delegates.
This weekend will include an
oneg Shabbat open to all Men's
Club members at the synagogue
tonight, Saturday morning serv-
ices, a luncheon for delegates and
conference activities. Saturday eve-
ning at 9 the buffet-supper dance
will be held for delegates, mem-
bers and their guests.

freshments.

STANLEY ABRAMOVITCH,
education consultant of the Joint
Distribution Committee, will arrive
in the United States Monday to
report to Bnai Brith Hillel Foun-
dations and Jewish communities
on recent developments in Europe,
North Africa and the Middle East,
including Israel, it was announced
by Charles H. Jordan, JDC execu-
tive vice-chairman and director-
general.
