MEN'S CLUBS

Men's Clubs to Focus on 'Leadership'

"Lay Leadership" will be the
theme of this year's regional con-
ference of the National Federa-
tion of Jewish Men's Clubs to be
held at Cong. Shaarey Zedek Nov.
4-6. Guest speaker for the Satur-
day afternoon meeting will be the
national vice - president, Milton
Leeds of Highland Park, Ill. The
president of the national federa-
tion, Manye London, will give the
keynote address Sunday.
At the buffet supper-dance,
Nov. 5, delegates, Shaarey Zedek
Men's Club members and their
guests will be entertained by the
newly formed men's club chorus,
under the direction of Dan Froh-
man and organized by Joseph
Cantor. Mrs. Rebecca Frohman
will be accompanist, and soloists
will be Max Somberg, Dan Cullen,
Joseph Cantor and Cantor Jacob

Veteran Hospital Patients

A theater and dinner party for
patients from the nursing home
care unit at Dearborn Veterans
Hospital has been planned by the
Department of Michigan Ladies
Auxiliary for Wednesday. Mrs.
Oscar Bank and Mrs. Paul Bet-
man are hospital chairmen.
Ninety-six patients in the TB
ward of the hospital were treated
to Sweetest Day packages dis-
tributed by the department. Assist-
ing the chairman were Bess Gold-
berg, Esther Oshan, Rosetta
Weiner and Betty Weingarden.
