Jewish ranks everywhere recognize the priority
that must be given to Jewish studies and to the
training of our children.
Therefore those of us who are concerned about
the security of our schools now join in issuing this
appeal to all Detroit---Jews to support Yeshivoth
Beth Yehudah to the fullest and to make certain
that this sacred institution is not handicapped for
lack of means wherewith to carry on its burdens
of providing the traditional education our children
need so urgently.
I appeal to you at this time to give your
fullest support to the Annual Dinner, to be held
Sunday evening, November 20, at Cobo Hall.

Dear Friends:
When my good friend Daniel Laven called on
me for help to make the Annual Dinner success-
ful ... I agreed, knowing the need and the finan-
cial difficulties the Beth Yehudah Schools find
`themselves in.
As a co-founder of the Businessmen's Council,
I felt it was my duty to do everything possible
to arouse my friends to join with me in this most
serious local endeavor,
